It's honestly a long story, but the gist is that I was in a literal survival situation with my soccer team in high school, and the longer we were out there in the wilderness, the more we believed we had to make sacrifices to "it" -- whatever the fuck "it" was, which I still think wasn't literally an "it" -- in order to survive.
The antlers were part of it. I'm not convinced they won't possess me and turn me into a goddamn cultist bent on sacrificing the first person I lay eyes on.
