Well, he might have said 'I made a mistake' a few times and that he'd make it up to me, but I don't know—could just be words and never deeds. He does tend to be incredibly wordy; just going on and on and on so much that it tends to all run together and sound the same, making me want to turn it off.
Yeah... it's kind of complicated. Apparently a bloke in the royal navy who hates him because Stede killed his brother, distracted Stede from our rendezvous and told him he ruined everybody's lives and wasn't good enough for anyone and then after he accidentally killed himself instead of Stede, Stede decided to go back home to his family without bothering to tell me. Said he changed his mind after a while and came back, but fuck that at that point.
after Stede's shown up

[Sort of a vague answer, but he's not really sure how he's doing after all.]

I'm no stranger to having those who've wronged me on this boat.
If you need an ear, I'm here to listen.

[Even if it is a little strange to compare Stede to Peter. Amusing, but weird.]
Thanks. I'm afraid putting coherent thoughts together about it is a bit beyond me at the moment.

I was thinking a few bottles of rum and all the angry shouting you want to do.

He'll just pop up again in a week.
There's all sorts of ways to get back at him that don't use a sword if you want to.

Like what, for instance?

No.
[ He turns his hand towards Ed. ]
What upsets him?

[ Which is why they're not entertaining it. ]
So you're mad at him. Does he know what for?
no subject
Oh yeah, he certainly does. And he knew when he did it that it would be the end of our relationship.

And is he doing anything to show his sincerity? Has he claimed responsibility for his choices?
no subject
I suppose? At least it's not as though he's stated it's anyone else's fault.
no subject
He wants you to forgive him and go back to how things were without him making the effort to change so you aren't hurt again.

Has he told you why he chose to act the way he did? Renounced that decision and taken responsibility for how he hurt you?
It sounds like he's filling the air with fluff instead of anything of substance.

...wait, what's this about a family?
no subject
He has a wife and two kids, that he abandoned to become a pirate.

How do you feel about them?

Do you think he went back to them? Or back to his money and estate?
